Exciting Opportunity for a Full-Time KS2 Teaching Assistant in Plymouth!

The Role:
- Position: KS2 Teaching Assistant (Full Time)
- Hours: 6.5 hours per day, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: Potential to lead to a permanent role for the right candidate
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the classroom environment and helping students thrive. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Providing tailored support to individual students or small groups, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Creating a positive and encouraging atmosphere that nurtures learning and confidence.
- Supporting students’ social and emotional well-being, fostering a safe and inclusive environment.
- Helping with the preparation of classroom materials and resources.
- Assisting in the monitoring and assessment of student progress, helping to record their achievements and areas for improvement.
- Encouraging good behaviour and positive interactions in line with the school’s ethos and values.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in an educational setting
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (advantageous)
- Experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable
- DBS on the update service or willingness to complete a new one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
