KS1 Teacher

Pay rate: £140 - £185 per day (AWR will come into effect after 12 working weeks) 

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Primary Teacher seeking a full-time role from Febuary 2025, Greenwich, London. A vacancy has arisen within a Plumstead-based primary school for a Year 2 Teacher. The role is to start in January 2025

Both ECTs* and fully inducted Teachers are welcome to apply.

The school is an Ofsted graded ‘GOOD’ primary school and it is described to be effectively led and managed by the Head Teacher, senior leaders and Governors. The school has a clear and strong vision, defined by its Christian ethos and commitment to serve the needs of its pupils and families. As a result, all pupils have equal opportunities to excel.

With being such a vital year with the KS1 SATs taking place, the Head Teacher has specified that the successful candidate will have previous experience of teaching in Year 2, whether that is as a Trainee Teacher or a qualified Teacher, so that good knowledge of the Year 2 expectations has already been established. To succeed in your application, you must also demonstrate a creative yet purposeful approach to teaching and learning, strong organisational skills and commitment to the role and the development of the pupils.

*Early Career Teachers will be well supported and mentored by the school’s KS1 Lead.

Requirements:

  •  Have experience working with primary school pupils on a 1:1 basis
  •  Experience working with KS1 & EYFS pupils
  •  Hold either a degree or a teaching assistant qualification
  •  Experience working with pupils with challenging behaviour
  •  Background in care
  •  Hold a valid up to date clean DBS check on the update service
  •  UK address and right to work
