Primary School Teachers Needed in Scarborough – October 2024 Start
We have an immediate requirement for talented teachers to work across KS1 and KS2 at primary schools in the Scarborough area!
Role Overview
We are seeking experienced teachers to cover a variety of temporary roles, including PPA cover, staff training, meetings, sickness, and other absences. This is a flexible position, offering the opportunity to work in multiple schools within the Scarborough Primary School community and surrounding areas. Most assignments will be pre-arranged based on your availability, though occasional short-notice cover may be requested, provided it aligns with your schedule.
What We're Looking For
As a cover teacher, you should be comfortable working across KS1 and KS2 in various settings, including multi-form entry schools and mixed year group classes. Strong behaviour management skills are essential, along with a focus on supporting progression and attainment. You will motivate and engage children, using creative resources to facilitate learning. Your role will involve creating a safe and secure environment where children can develop their social and communication skills, while you record observations and summarise their achievements.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for teachers who are passionate about children's wellbeing and academic success. Building positive relationships with pupils to enhance their engagement and progress will be key to this role. You should be committed to preparing children for a smooth transition to the upper Key Stages.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
