KS1 Teacher
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Key Stage 1 Teacher to join our supportive Primary School in the Hull area. In this vital role, you will help shape the educational journey of young learners aged 5-7, inspiring them to reach their full potential.
Location: Hull, East Yorkshire
Salary: £120 - £140 per day
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
About the role:
As our network of partner schools continues to grow, we are urgently seeking talented primary specialists to provide flexible, short-term supply cover for 3-5 days per week. While most of the work will be pre-booked, you may occasionally be asked to be on standby for same-day bookings between 7-9am. You will follow each school's policies, mark pupils' work, and leave handover notes for the Class Teacher.
Key Responsibilities:
- Qualified Teacher: Hold QTS and have experience in Primary Schools, particularly in KS1.
- Commitment to Excellence: Be hard-working, organised, and dedicated to raising educational standards.
- Behaviour Management: Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills to foster a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Curriculum Expertise: Possess a solid understanding of the KS1 curriculum to plan and deliver inspiring lessons that captivate students.
- High Expectations: Set ambitious goals to empower children to achieve their best.
- Team Management: Effectively manage Teaching Assistants to enhance classroom learning.
- Assessment Strategies: Use assessment techniques to monitor and track student progress and inform your teaching.
- Community Involvement: Immerse yourself in the school community, promoting its ethos and building strong relationships with children, staff, and families.
- Safeguarding Knowledge: Maintain an excellent understanding of safeguarding practices.
- DBS Compliance: Hold a DBS certificate on the update service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
