Job description

Join the IT/Computing department of a large secondary school in Bolton, providing support for pupils aged 11-16.

-          Full-time IT/Computing teacher.

-          To start ASAP.

-          Pay in line with teaching scale point (£30,000 - £49,084)

-          Working with the IT department alongside senior members of staff.

-          Teaching IT/Computing to KS3 and KS4.

-          Full planning and marking responsibilities.

Our client school is in Bolton and is easily accessible via the M66, M62 and A56 from surrounding areas such as Bury, Salford and Worsley. For applicants who don’t drive, our client school can also be accessed via public transport from areas surrounding Greater Manchester such as Farnworth, Westhoughton and Horwich.

Working as an IT Teacher in our client school will involveplanning, preparing, and delivering IT lessons and adapting these to individuals at various levels of learning. You will be expected to mark all work in line with the school curriculum and set appropriate homework tasks.

It will also be important to promote positive behaviour management amongst students and in line with the school behaviour policy.

To be considered for this role, you must have previous experience teaching IT to pupils up to GCSE level alongside QTS.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
