Teaching Personnel are currently looking for a Qualified IT teacher to working in a Specialist Provision located in Birmingham B36.

Role – IT TEACHER

Location -Birmingham B36

Salary: £140 - £240/ day Fully Qualified teachers paid to scale

Role Overview

We are in search of a dedicated and experienced IT Teacher to join our committed team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and is eager to help them excel in Information Technology. The successful candidate will be skilled in adapting lessons to cater to diverse learning needs and will foster a love for IT among all students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging IT lessons tailored for SEND students.
  • Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) to enhance student learning.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement and self-confidence.
  • Regularly assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to students, parents, and staff.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and external agencies to provide comprehensive support for students.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of best practices in SEND education.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent certification.
  • Experience in teaching IT, preferably in a SEND environment.
  • Strong knowledge of SEND and effective strategies for supporting diverse learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students across a range of abilities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
