Salary: £120 - £140 per day
Contract Type: Full-time and Part-time opportunities

About the Role:
We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Intervention Teacher to join our supportive team in Accrington. As an Intervention Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing targeted, small-group support to children who need additional help to achieve their full potential. You will work closely with classroom teachers to deliver tailored interventions that help students improve their academic skills, boost their confidence, and close any learning gaps.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality intervention sessions in reading, writing, mathematics, and other key areas, tailored to meet the needs of individual children or small groups.
- Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to assess students’ needs and create personalised learning plans.
- Track and monitor the progress of students receiving interventions, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
- Adapt teaching strategies to suit different learning styles and ensure maximum engagement and progress.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all children feel valued and motivated to succeed.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of lessons, ensuring interventions are aligned with the classroom curriculum.
- Use a range of assessment methods to identify and address learning gaps, while supporting students to build resilience and independence.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being during interventions, supporting children’s personal development.
You will need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience of working with primary-aged children, particularly in an intervention or support capacity.
- Strong understanding of child development and the ability to differentiate teaching to meet diverse learning needs.
- A creative and flexible approach to teaching, with the ability to inspire and motivate children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to track and monitor student progress effectively.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for supporting children to achieve their best.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
