ICT Teacher
Job description
Teaching Personnel are supporting the January recruitment drive for a well reputable secondary Academy in central Birmingham. They are in the process of recruiting for an ICT teacher to join their team in the new academic year. This position will incorporate teaching KS3/4 and responsibilities for planning, delivering and assessing in line with the National Curriculum will be required.
The Academy are welcoming applications from ECT's and experienced ICT teachers, and full support will be provided throughout the role.
Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Fully Qualified Teacher of ICT to join the Computer Science department. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality ICT lessons to students across key stages 3 and 4, fostering a love for the subject and promoting critical thinking skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging ICT lessons that inspire and motivate students.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the ICT curriculum.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Applications welcomed from ECT’s.
- Degree in ICT or a related field.
- Experience teaching ICT at the secondary level, preferably in a UK school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for ICT education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
