Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality Humanities lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEMH needs.
• Develop and implement individualized learning plans that cater to the diverse abilities of students.
• Create a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive approach to teaching and learning.
• Provide pastoral care and support to students, helping them to develop socially and emotionally as well as academically.
• Participate in continuous professional development and contribute to the wider school community.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A degree in a Humanities subject (e.g., History, Geography, Religious Education).
• Proven experience teaching Humanities at the secondary school level.
• Experience working with students with SEMH needs or in a special education setting is highly desirable.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
