HLTA needed for September - Cambridge
Job description
We are looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work in a fantastic Primary School in the Cambridge area. The position is full-time & long-term with the potential of becoming permanent.
The school are fully supportive of all new members of staff and have a real ‘team effort’ approach towards the progression of both the school and pupils that are currently on role.
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will be needed to fulfil the role of a Teaching Assistant, as well as carry out tasks of a higher level such as: Classroom Teaching and PPA Cover, as well as 1:1 support and small group focus work.
Desirable Applicants will need the following:
- HLTA Status/ Meet the HLTA standards
- Strong Knowledge of the Primary curriculum
- A high level of classroom/pupil management skills
- Ability to provide 1 to 1 support to pupils with SEMH
- Be able to cover planned absences on behalf of class teachers.
- Transport in order to get to and from the school
In your role, you will also be supporting pupils with SEN in order to help them achieve goals and work to the best of their ability, as well as provide general support to pupils in the classes.
The role is challenging, but rewarding because of the first hand experience of aiding and supporting children in their learning and development throughout Primary education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
