A thriving and inclusive Ofsted-rated GOOD primary school in Uxbridge is seeking a dedicated and experienced High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their supportive and dynamic team. This is a permanent position starting in January 2025, offering an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on students' learning experiences and contribute to their academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting class teachers in delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
  • Planning and delivering small group interventions and 1:1 support sessions to raise student achievement.
  • Covering whole classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring smooth lesson delivery.
  • Assisting with the development of resources and tailored learning activities.
  • Supporting pupils with additional needs, including those with EHCPs (Education, Health, and Care Plans).
  • Helping to maintain a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Contributing to the wider school community, including school events and extracurricular activities.

Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent is essential.
  • Proven experience working in a primary school setting, preferably within Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and the ability to differentiate tasks to meet a range of learning needs.
  • Ability to work independently to plan and deliver lessons for small groups and whole classes.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive environment for all pupils.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team and demonstrate initiative when required.
  • Experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
