Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Job description
HLTA Position – Temporary with Potential for a Permanent Contract
Pay Rate: £100–£110 per day
Employment Type: Full-Time
Role: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Are you searching for a dynamic, hands-on role where no two days are the same? Perhaps you’re looking for a rewarding opportunity that allows you to finish each day knowing you’ve positively impacted the lives of children. If so, keep reading!
A two-form entry primary school in Wavertree (L15) is seeking an experienced HLTA to join their team on a fixed-term contract starting in January 2025. This role has the potential to be extended for the remainder of the academic year, with the possibility of becoming a permanent position.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will provide temporary cover for PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) sessions and staff absences across both KS1 and KS2. As such, experience working in both key stages would be highly advantageous.
Rated GOOD by Ofsted, the school enjoys an excellent reputation within the local community. It has a welcoming and inclusive culture underpinned by a distinctive set of values and a clear vision. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to embody and promote these values in their teaching practice.
The school has a higher-than-average proportion of disadvantaged pupils, so experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) would be particularly valuable.
Who Would This Role Suit?
This position is ideal for a qualified HLTA (or equivalent) or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) seeking to gain broader experience across the primary phases before committing to a full classroom teaching role.
