We are currently searching for Higher Level Teaching Assistants or individuals with a TA3 qualification to work within primary schools in the Burnley area. This role would be within KS2 supporting the class teacher as well as opportunities to stand in and take the class when needed.

Responsibilities with this role:

  • Assess the needs of students and use detailed knowledge and specialist skills to support students’ learning.
  • Establish productive working relationships with students, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
  • Be comfortable and willing to step up for the class teacher in the event of their absence.
  • Address gaps in learning.
  • Understand and follow safeguarding procedures.

This is a full-time temporary role, however depending on circumstance it may become permanent.

What we require:

  • Relevant experience as a HLTA/ Level 3 Teaching Assistant.
  • A level 2 safeguarding certificate (this can be completed following your application)
  • A DBS on the update service (this can be applied for following your application)
  • Professional references from your 2 most recent employers

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
