Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
We are seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a primary school in Cardiff. This is an exciting opportunity to support the learning and development of our pupils, contributing to their educational journey in a positive and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality learning activities under the guidance of class teachers.
- Lead whole-class teaching in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring progress and engagement.
- Support individual and small group learning to meet diverse educational needs.
- Work collaboratively with teachers to assess, monitor, and support pupil progress.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Provide feedback to pupils and teachers to enhance learning outcomes.
- Actively contribute to the wider school community and initiatives.
Requirements
- HLTA status or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience working with primary-aged children in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage classroom behaviour positively and effectively.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Flexibility, creativity, and a proactive attitude.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
