Graduate Teaching Assistant – Torquay & Paignton
Location: Schools across Torquay & Paignton
Salary: From £85 per day (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full-time (Monday to Friday), Temporary and Temporary to Permanent

Teaching Personnel is looking for motivated Graduate Teaching Assistants to work in mainstream schools across Torquay and Paignton, supporting children with Autism and other learning needs.
About the Role: As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with students who require additional support to help them succeed in a mainstream classroom environment. This role is perfect for those seeking hands-on experience in education, particularly if you are interested in a career in teaching or special educational needs (SEN).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to children with Autism and other learning needs
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering tailored educational activities
- Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students
- Manage classroom behaviour and ensure pupils are engaged
- Support pupils’ emotional and social development
What We're Looking For:
- Recent graduates looking to pursue a career in education or SEN
- Passionate about supporting children with additional learning needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, positive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team
- Experience working with children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
