Exciting Graduate Opportunity: Teaching Assistant Role in Darlington!

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join a fantastic school in Darlington as a Teaching Assistant. This full-time position is an excellent opportunity for those looking to make a real difference in students' lives while gaining invaluable experience.

Position Details:

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Pay: £420 - £500 per week
  • Contract: Full-Time

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) requirements. You'll work closely with small groups, providing tailored support through their Educational Healthcare Plans (EHCPs). This is a unique opportunity to build strong, positive relationships with students and help them reach their full potential in a nurturing and supportive environment.

What We're Looking For:

  • Recent University Graduate looking to start a career in education
  • Awareness of SEN and SEMH and their impact on student learning
  • Willingness to apply for an enhanced DBS check (we can assist)
  • Ability to provide two professional references from the last two years

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support aligned with students' EHCPs
  • Build strong, trusting relationships to foster student development
  • Track and monitor student progress, providing feedback to students, teachers, and parents
  • Adhere to safeguarding protocols and manage any challenges that arise

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
