Bolton – Graduate Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting Graduates teaching assistants for a number of client schools that are based in Bolton ahead of the new academic year in September.

  • Both Full-time and Part-time Graduate teaching assistant positions available
  • Starting dates in September with positions running until the year depending on funding.
  • Ideal opportunity graduates that are considering a career as a teaching assistant or for those wanting to go on to complete a teacher training course in the future
  • You can expect to earn up to £1700 a month whilst gaining key experience that will contribute to you becoming an ‘Outstanding’ teacher of the future

With the new academic year set to start in September our client schools have seen a large increase in the number of students enrolling to our schools. On the back of this we have had an influx of requests for Graduate teaching assistants to start in September with the aim of alleviating pressures from the class teacher and working with students on a 1:1 basis to bridge gaps between them and their peers.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a number of our client schools in Bolton, where you will be equipped with the necessary tools required to complete your teacher training in the future. All the schools that you will work in will be supportive schools that are committed to your future development.

As a Graduate teaching assistant you will be supporting pupils who struggle to engage within lessons and require additional support within their studies. You may be asked to provide KS3 and GCSE tuition sessions to students within your specialist subject as well as other core subjects; Maths, English and Science. There will be times where you will be asked to provide general cover for lessons in the absence of the class teacher; you will be delivering pre set lessons and ensuring that students remain on taskthroghout the class.

If you require further information on the Graduate teaching assistant roles available or would like to be considered then please send an up to date CV to Zack or give the Wigan and Warrington branch a call on 01942 355059.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.
We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
