Role Overview:

We are seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Unqualified Teachers/Cover Supervisors to work in a variety of secondary schools throughout the Stockport area. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in the education sector or those considering a career in teaching. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing classrooms and ensuring that students remain engaged with their learning in the absence of their regular teacher.

Location: Stockport.

Employment Type: Flexible

Salary: Up to £100 per day (dependent on experience).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage classroom activities while maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans effectively and ensure that students understand the tasks set.
  • Support students’ learning by providing assistance as needed and promoting good behaviour
  • Monitor student progress and report any issues or concerns to school staff.
  • Foster an inclusive atmosphere where all students feel valued and respected.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • No formal teaching qualifications required; however, experience working with young people is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with students of varying abilities.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and classroom management.
  • Flexibility to adapt to different school environments and subject areas.
  • A passion for education and supporting student development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
