Graduate/Future Teacher Opportunity – High School Teaching Roles in Halton

Location: Halton
Job Type: Full-time, Long-term and Day-to-day Supply
Salary: £80 - £120 per day (depending on experience and role)

The Role:

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to work in secondary schools across the Wirral, providing teaching support on both a full-time and flexible supply basis. This role is ideal for those considering a future career in teaching or seeking valuable classroom experience before embarking on formal teacher training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging lessons to students aged 11-18 in a variety of subjects (dependent on your background and interests)
  • Support students with varying learning needs, helping to enhance their educational experience
  • Assist class teachers with classroom management, planning, and marking
  • Provide 1:1 or small group tuition to boost student achievement
  • Maintain a positive learning environment and promote student well-being
  • Gain invaluable experience working alongside experienced educators

What We’re Looking For:

  • Recent graduates or those with relevant subject expertise
  • A strong desire to pursue a career in teaching or education
  • Passion for working with young people and helping them reach their full potential
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with students and staff
  • Adaptable, reliable, and confident in managing classroom environments
  • Previous experience working with young people is beneficial but not essential
  • Enhanced DBS and on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
