Geography Teacher – Secondary School Romford London
We are working with a fantastic inclusive secondary school in Romford. Who are seeking a new dynamic, passionate Geography Teacher to start in January 2025. The geography department at the school is committed to planning and delivering outstanding lessons and high-quality fieldwork from year 7 to year 13. It is a popular and high achieving subject at GCSE and at A Level. In 2022 82% of the department’s GCSE students obtained a 9-5, and 42% obtained a 9-7. At key stage 5 students make excellent progress. This year 63% of students achieved a A or A* at A level. Geography is the most popular GCSE option subject and has two classes at A Level.
As a successful candidate will need the following skills and attributes:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT)/Early Career Teacher (ECT) with a relevant qualification.
- Be capable of delivering Key Stage 3 & 4-Experience of teaching Key Stage 5 is beneficial but not essential
- The experience to plan, prepare and teach the constantly evolving curriculum
- Excellent classroom management
- Strong communication skills
- Great time management skills, someone who is reliable and flexible
- Ideally worked with children in the last 5 years
- Right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
