Teaching Personnel are excited to announce an opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school in Stockport. This is a maternity cover position, starting in January, offering a fantastic chance to make an impact on students' learning and development.

About the Role:

Position: Geography Teacher (Maternity Cover)

Location: Stockport

Start Date: January 2025

Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary (Maternity Cover)

Key Stage: KS3 & KS4

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective Geography lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Plan, prepare, and assess student progress according to the curriculum.
• Foster a positive learning environment that promotes student achievement and well-being.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Geography curriculum and contribute to departmental development.
• Support students in their academic and personal growth through mentoring and guidance.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Geography at KS3 & KS4 (GCSE level).
• A passion for Geography and a strong ability to inspire students.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
