Geography Teacher
Job description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated full-time Geography Teacher to join our team starting from the October half term. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach A-levels. You will play a pivotal role in helping students explore the physical and human aspects of our planet, fostering an appreciation for the environment and global issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons that align with the National Curriculum.
- Inspire students to develop a deep understanding of geographical concepts, including physical landscapes, human geography, and environmental challenges.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic development.
- Create a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the ongoing development of the Geography curriculum.
- Participate in school activities, including parent evenings, field trips, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
- A degree in Geography or a related subject.
- Experience teaching Geography at secondary level, with a strong knowledge of the GCSE curriculum.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for teaching Geography.
- A commitment to creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
