Job Overview:
We are excited to recruit a talented and committed Geography teacher to join an outstanding and vibrant Geography department at a thriving comprehensive school. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach Geography across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 (GCSE and A-Level). This role is ideal for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced professionals who are passionate about inspiring students and making a positive impact on their educational journey.
The Geography department is part of the school's successful Humanities faculty and enjoys great popularity, with large numbers of students choosing the subject at both GCSE and A-Level. As a dynamic and engaging classroom practitioner, you will be expected to deliver high-quality teaching and contribute to the ongoing development of the department. You will collaborate with other Humanities teachers, ensuring a focus on teaching excellence and student achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Geography lessons across KS3, GCSE, and A-Level
- Engage students through creative and effective teaching strategies
- Collaborate with the wider Humanities team to share best practices
- Contribute to the development of the Geography curriculum
- Maintain high standards of teaching and learning
The Successful Candidate:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Specialises in Geography
- Possesses strong teaching skills and a passion for Geography
- Is dedicated to making a difference to students' learning and progress
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and team-working abilities
- Will contribute to a collaborative and supportive department environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
