Geography Teacher 

Teaching Personnel are currently working very closely with a reptuable secondary school in Wellingborough, who are looking for a Geography Teacher on a full-time basis from October 2024.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our successful Geography department. We are looking for someone who is committed, innovative and solutions focused. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved with extra-curricular activities as well as numerous CPD opportunities both within the department and externally. A passion for Geography is a must as well as a keen desire to continuously develop subject knowledge and pedagogy. You will be well supported by a friendly and knowledgeable team and a fully resourced department

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Geography lessons that cater to a diverse range of learners.
  • Foster a stimulating and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and active learning.
  • Implement effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum materials and resources.
  • Establish strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure effective communication and cooperation.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and school events.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status and a relevant degree in Geography or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Geography at the secondary level, preferably within a diverse school environment.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring students to explore the wonders of Geography. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the needs of all students.
  • Innovative and adaptable teaching methods to meet the individual learning styles and abilities of students.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of current educational practices.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
