About the role
A geography teacher in a secondary school is responsible for planning and delivering lessons that help students understand the physical and human aspects of the world. This includes topics such as maps, climate, ecosystems, population, and global issues. They design engaging activities to develop students' analytical and problem-solving skills, using both theoretical knowledge and practical fieldwork. Geography teachers assess students' understanding through tests, projects, and presentations, offering constructive feedback to promote growth. They also encourage students to think critically about current global challenges, fostering an appreciation for how geography impacts daily life and the future of the planet.
Am I suitable?
The successful candidate for the Teacher of Geography position will have to have:
- Qualified Techer Status
- ECT applications also welcomed
- Degree or Higher in relevant field
- At least 1 year teaching experience to Secondary age pupils
- Unqualified Teacher applications will be considered if the candidate can showcase a vast experience of teaching GCSE and/or A Level science
