General Teaching Assistant
Location: North West England, Merseyside, Liverpool
Job Type: Contract, Full-Time
Salary: £12.90 - £13.50 Per hour
Job Description:
Job Duties:
- Supporting teachers in delivering educational activities
- Assisting with classroom management and behaviour of students
- Providing one-to-one support to students with additional learning needs
- Preparing educational materials and resources
- Supervising students during break times and outings
Required Qualifications:
- GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent)
- Relevant experience working with children or in an educational setting
- Ability to pass a background check
Education:
- Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
- Additional qualifications in education or childcare are beneficial
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children or in an educational environment
- Experience in supporting students with special educational needs
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of classroom dynamics and student behaviour management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team
- Basic knowledge of educational principles and practises
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- First Aid certification
- Training in safeguarding and child protection
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position with regular school hours
- Work within a school setting with occasional outdoor activities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
