Contract Type: Temporary Full Time

Salary: £150 - £210 per day (subject to experience and pay scale)

About the role

Are you a general Humanities teacher who has good curriculum knowledge and is capable of teaching the following: History, Geography, Religious Studies, Citizenship and Law? Teaching Personnel is looking to recruit a Humanities teacher to work in well-recognised secondary schools in Liverpool on a full-time basis for the start of the new academic year in September 2024.

This is a great opportunity for any Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT), someone looking to return to teaching and has relevant experience or somebody looking for a new opportunity or role within a collaborative school. We work closely with these schools and in particular numerous temporary staff have picked up permanent roles at the schools through Teaching Personnel.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver dynamic and engaging Humanities lessons to Secondary students aged 11-18.
  • Have good knowledge about Humanities subjects and be able to adapt to different sub sections of Humanities.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to both parents and students to help with their learning and development.
  • Support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) if required to do so and helping them 1:1.
  • Foster a positive learning environment and have strong classroom management skills.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Newly Qualified Teacher Status (NQT).
  • Relevant qualifications in any Humanities subjects and good subject knowledge.
  • Enhanced DBS cleared & uploaded to the update service (or willingness to apply)
  • Full right to work within the UK.
  • Have up to date safeguarding training or willing to take it. (Provided for free by Teaching Personnel).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in order to collaborate with teachers, students and parents.
