Our thriving secondary school in Accrington is seeking a dynamic General Cover Teacher to join our dedicated team from January. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a supportive learning environment at a school proud of its “Good” Ofsted rating.
The Role:
- Provide high-quality cover teaching across a range of subjects for students aged 11-16.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans with enthusiasm and maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
- Engage and inspire students to continue their learning in the absence of their regular teacher.
- Support the school community and uphold its values and ethos.
About You:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, or significant experience in a similar role.
- Proven ability to adapt quickly to different subjects and age groups.
- Strong classroom management skills with a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Passionate about education and committed to helping every child achieve their potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
