Job description

Job Title: GCSE 1:1 Tutor

Location:

England, Greater London, Romford

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide tutoring and support to students preparing for their GCSE exams
  • Create engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student’s needs
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Develop and implement effective study strategies
  • Communicate progress and areas for improvement to students and parents

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience in tutoring or teaching GCSE level subjects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the GCSE curriculum
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students
  • Effective time management and organisational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience working with Looked After Children (LAC)

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time hours with flexibility in scheduling
  • Working closely with students and parents
  • May require travel to student’s homes or educational institutions

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
