Job description

Job Title: English and Maths GCSE Outreach Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Harlow

Job Type:

Temporary, Full-Time hours

Salary:

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide individualised instruction to students in English and Maths subjects at the GCSE level
  • Create engaging lesson plans tailored to each student's learning needs
  • Assess students' progress and provide feedback on their academic performance
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to support students' academic development
  • Participate in outreach programmes to promote educational opportunities in English and Maths

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching English and Maths at the GCSE level
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in English and Maths at the GCSE level

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Deep understanding of the GCSE curriculum in English and Maths
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and resources

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience in providing outreach or community-based educational programmes

Working Conditions:

  • Temporary position with Full-Time hours
  • Work in a school or learners home
  • Potential travel to different locations within the East of England

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
