Job description

Job Title: English and Maths GCSE Intervention Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Braintree

Job Type:

Job Duties:

  • Provide targeted support to students requiring intervention in English and Maths GCSE subjects
  • Create tailored lesson plans to address individual learning needs
  • Deliver engaging and interactive tutoring sessions to enhance student understanding and performance
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to aid in their academic improvement

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Specialism in English and Maths education

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Proven experience in tutoring or teaching English and Maths at the GCSE level

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the GCSE curriculum for English and Maths
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs
  • Organisational skills to track student progress effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in delivering intervention programmes

Working Conditions:

This role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis, providing tutoring support to students in need of English and Maths GCSE intervention. The work will be carried out in an educational setting in Braintree, Essex, within the East of England region.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
