Functional Skills Tutor

TP Tutors are recruiting Functional Skills Tutors in the NG7 area.  Do you have experience teaching and a passion to help young people reach their potential?  We want to hear fom you!

Job Duties:

• Deliver high-quality teaching and learning sessions to help learners improve their functional skills in English and Maths
• Develop and implement tailored learning plans to meet the individual needs of learners
• Assess the progress of learners and provide constructive feedback
• Maintain accurate records of learner attendance, progress, and achievements
• Collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment

Qualifications and Skills:

A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, CertEd) or equivalent

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject area

Experience teaching functional skills

Excellant understanding of the functional skills curriculum

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to motivate and engage learners effectively
