Are you passionate about helping learners succeed in essential skills such as English and/or Maths?

Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Functional Skills Tutors to support learners in achieving their potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Functional Skills sessions in English and Maths to learners of all abilities.
  • Create engaging and personalised learning plans tailored to each student's needs.
  • Provide one-to-one and group support, both in person and remotely, ensuring learners build confidence and make progress.
  • Assess learners’ progress regularly and adjust teaching methods to maximise engagement and learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to provide a well-rounded learning experience.

Requirements:

  •  teaching experience delivering Functional Skills.
  • Strong subject knowledge in English and Maths.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate learners who may have struggled with education in the past.
  • Ability to use digital platforms for online teaching, if required.
  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
