Join TP Tutors as a Functional Skills Tutor in Arnold (NG5)! Tutors needed for September 2024!

TP Tutors, a leading education and tuition provider, is currently seeking experienced Functional Skills Tutors in Arnold (NG5). As a Functional Skills Tutor, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals to develop their functional skills in English, Maths, and Science.

Job Duties:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging 1:1 and group-based functional skills tuition sessions to learners.
  • Create and implement tailored lesson plans and resources to meet the specific needs of each learner.
  • Assess learners' progress and provide constructive feedback to facilitate their learning and development.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods and techniques to ensure effective knowledge transfer.
  • Identify individual learner needs and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate records of learner attendance, progress, and achievements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience and share best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in functional skills education and implement relevant changes in teaching approaches.

Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Qualification in a relevant subject area.
  • Experience in teaching or tutoring functional skills.
  • Experience working 1:1 with learners.

Skills:

  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging and effective tuition sessions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Dedicated, hardworking, and resilient.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
