Job Opportunity for a Food Technology Teacher in Wareham!
Role: Teacher of Food Technology (suitable for Early Career Teachers)
Working Pattern: Full-Time
Contract Type: Permanent contract offered after a probation period (temp-to-perm)
Salary: £30,000 to £47,000
Location: Wareham and surrounding areas
Are you an experienced Food Technology teacher or an Early Career Teacher eager to inspire the next generation of creative and confident learners? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join a welcoming school in Wareham starting January 2025.
About the Role:
As a Food Technology Teacher, you will inspire students to develop essential life skills, creativity, and a deep understanding of food science and preparation. You will deliver engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to meet the needs of learners across all abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive Food Technology lessons aligned with the curriculum, preparing students for assessments and real-life applications.
- Design differentiated lessons to cater to diverse learning needs.
- Incorporate hands-on activities, technology, and practical applications to engage students.
- Regularly assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes enthusiasm for learning.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Nutrition, or a related field; a master’s degree is advantageous.
- PGCE/QTS/QTLS qualification.
- Experience teaching Food Technology at the secondary level is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
- Passionate about teaching and committed to student success.
