Flexible SEN Teaching Assistant
Job description
Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit day to day SEN Teaching Assistants for various SEN Schools across Preston and Blackpool.
As a day-to-day SEN teaching assistant, you will be expected to adapt quickly to daily school routine and embrace any tasks which the school gives you. Therefore, you must be able to immediately adapt to the new surrounding and want to meet high expectations. You must be passionate about supporting pupils and have experience supporting children or adults.
Key Duties:
- Providing academic support to pupils with SEN and SEMH needs.
- Quickly build positive relationships with students.
- Support pupils with engagement and encourage pupils to be involved.
- Support the general class teacher.
No two days will be the same in this role and you will be offered flexibility in your working hours and preferability. We work with EYFS, Primary, Secondary and FE provisions.
This is a fantastic way to gain experience in a school environment and may lead to longer term positions if that is what you wish to pursue.
The schools may cater for children with autism, mild learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties, attention deficit disorder, oppositional defiance disorder or social, emotional, mental health difficulties.
There are part-time and full-time positions available with immediate start.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
