About the Role
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Female PE Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant secondary school in Liverpool. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and support students in their physical education and overall well-being.
As a PE Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside the PE department, contributing to lessons, sports activities, and extracurricular programs. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about sports, fitness, and education, with the ability to engage and motivate secondary school students.
Responsibilities
- Support the PE teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Supervise and assist students during sports and physical activities.
- Promote the importance of physical fitness, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle.
- Provide one-to-one or small group support where necessary.
- Assist in setting up and maintaining sports equipment.
- Foster a positive and safe environment for students.
Requirements
- A genuine passion for sports and education.
- Experience working with young people (preferably within a school or sports setting).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
- A relevant qualification in sports, fitness, or education is advantageous.
- Female candidates only, due to the nature of the role (e.g., assisting in changing rooms and other gender-specific requirements).
Additional Requirements:
- An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Two references from previous employers or placements.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
