About the Role:

We are working with a fantastic primary school in the BS34 area, who are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Full-Time EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years Foundation Stage team. This role offers a great opportunity to work within a vibrant and supportive school environment, helping to nurture and develop young minds.

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the class teacher to deliver engaging, creative, and child-centered learning for children in their early years. You will be instrumental in creating a positive and stimulating classroom atmosphere, ensuring that every child receives the attention and support they need to thrive.

 

Key Responsibilities:

-          Work alongside the class teacher to plan and deliver stimulating EYFS lessons.

-          Support children’s learning, providing both group and one-to-one assistance.

-          Encourage the development of social, emotional, and academic skills in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.

-          Assist with classroom management and maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive environment.

-          Monitor children’s progress and provide feedback to the class teacher.

-          Assist with daily routines, including outdoor play and lunchtime duties.

-          Support children with additional learning needs, as required.

-          Promote positive behaviour and help maintain a calm and respectful classroom atmosphere.

 

Essential Criteria:

-          Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within an EYFS setting.

-          A good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development.

-          Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.

-          A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting young learners.

-          Good team player who can collaborate effectively with colleagues.

-          Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).

In order to work for Teaching Personnel and clear our vetting process, you must have a Child Workforce DBS subscribed to the Update Service. Full assistance will be provided should you need to apply for a new check, at a standard cost of £38, plus an annual subscription fee of £13 for the Update Service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
