Job description

  • Full time Monday to Friday.
  • Burnley, East Lancashire
  • This role is temporary with the view to make the right person permanent.

The ideal candidate must have a good work ethic, be positive, enthusiastic, work well with others and have a passion for pupils’ education. As a school our pupils with their families are our priority to ensure we are working in harmony to create a positive learning environment, we expect all our staff to share this ethos. It is a ‘good’ school rated by Ofsted with positive feedback regarding the behaviour of pupils, class sizes generally being around 20-25.  

What is expected of you as a EYFS Teacher:

  • Plan engaging and structured lessons, from a sound knowledge of the national curriculum.
  • Implement positive behaviour management within the classroom.
  • Address gaps in learning and follow school strategies to implement within your lesson plans.
  • Be able to build positive relationships with pupils to ensure they feel confident in the classroom.
  • Adapt to ever changing circumstances.
  • Understand and follow safeguarding procedures.

 The school is easily accessible by both car and public transport. We are happy for the right candidate to commute if they are happy with the distance however you must ensure you time keep accordingly.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
