Position: Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Level 3 Teaching Assistant
Location: Gateshead
Salary: £85 - £95 (per day)
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in Gateshead. The successful candidate will work closely with the EYFS teaching team to support the delivery of high-quality education to young children, helping to create a nurturing, engaging, and safe learning environment.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the early educational journey of children, helping them to develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the planning and delivery of the EYFS curriculum, focusing on children’s personal, social, and emotional development.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to children with varying abilities and learning needs.
- Assist in the management of classroom behavior, ensuring that children are safe, well-behaved, and engaged.
- Observe and record children’s progress, feeding back to the class teacher regularly.
- Prepare and adapt learning resources to suit individual learning styles and needs.
- Support the implementation of outdoor and play-based learning activities.
- Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
About You:
- Level 3 Qualification in Childcare or Education (e.g., CACHE Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools).
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
- Experience working with young children in an early years or education setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with children, staff, and parents.
- A patient, caring, and enthusiastic attitude towards working with young children.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A commitment to ensuring all children reach their full potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
