Salary: £85 - £95 (per day)

About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in Gateshead. The successful candidate will work closely with the EYFS teaching team to support the delivery of high-quality education to young children, helping to create a nurturing, engaging, and safe learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the planning and delivery of the EYFS curriculum, focusing on children’s personal, social, and emotional development.
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to children with varying abilities and learning needs.
• Assist in the management of classroom behavior, ensuring that children are safe, well-behaved, and engaged.
• Observe and record children’s progress, feeding back to the class teacher regularly.
• Prepare and adapt learning resources to suit individual learning styles and needs.
• Support the implementation of outdoor and play-based learning activities.
• Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.

About You:

• Level 3 Qualification in Childcare or Education (e.g., CACHE Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools).
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
• Experience working with young children in an early years or education setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with children, staff, and parents.
• A patient, caring, and enthusiastic attitude towards working with young children.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A commitment to ensuring all children reach their full potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
