EYFS Supply Teacher
Job Location: East of England, Cambridgeshire, Wisbech
Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time
Salary: £30,000 - £48,000 per annum
Job Duties:
- Deliver engaging and inclusive Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) lessons to primary school students
- Create lesson plans and educational materials that align with the EYFS curriculum
- Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback
- Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe and positive learning environment
- Collaborate with other teachers and support staff to meet the individual needs of students
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and parent-teacher conferences
- Complete administrative tasks, including record keeping and report writing
- Support the school's policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety regulations
Required Qualifications:
- Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) qualification
Education:
A minimum of a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) is required.
Experience:
Prior experience in teaching, specifically in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), is highly desirable.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Thorough understanding of the EYFS curriculum and teaching methodologies
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles
- Strong classroom management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Effective organisational and time management skills
- Proficiency in assessing student progress and providing feedback
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional certifications or training in early childhood education
- Experience in working with children with special educational needs
Working Conditions:
The EYFS Supply Teacher role is temporary and expected to work part-time hours. The role is based in a 3 form entry primary school located in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire. The working conditions include classroom teaching, collaboration with colleagues, and adherence to school policies and safeguarding procedures.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
