Job Advertisement: Supply SEND Teaching Assistants (PMLD and Physical Needs)

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) and physical needs? We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Supply SEND Teaching Assistants to join our team, providing essential support across various schools.

Position: Supply SEND Teaching Assistants

Specialisation: PMLD and Physical Needs

Location: Cornwall (various locations available) 

Contract: Supply basis, term-time only

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with PMLD and physical needs, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and care plans.
  • Work closely with classroom teachers and other professionals to deliver inclusive and engaging lessons.
  • Support students with physical tasks and mobility, including the use of specialized equipment.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment, promoting students' independence and self-esteem.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with PMLD and physical needs is highly desirable.
  • A caring and patient nature with a strong commitment to supporting students with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work across different schools as required.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or special needs support are advantageous.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
