Job description

Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary School English Teacher to join a reputable school in Stoke. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire students and foster a love of English literature and language across KS3 and KS4. You will play a key role in planning and delivering engaging lessons, tracking student progress, and supporting their academic and personal development.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Dynamic Lesson Planning: Create and deliver creative and engaging English lessons.
  • Assessment: Monitor, assess, and record student progress regularly.
  • Student Support: Help students achieve their full potential in GCSE English.
  • Collaborative Environment: Work with colleagues to foster a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Adaptability: Tailor teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of all students.
  • Community Engagement: Attend parent evenings and contribute to extracurricular activities.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE in Secondary English.
  • Experience: Previous experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 levels.
  • Classroom Management: Strong skills in managing classroom dynamics.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
  • Passion for Teaching: A genuine enthusiasm for teaching and supporting student success.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
