Are you a passionate and talented English teacher looking for your next opportunity in a Secondary school in Northampton?
Teaching Personnel have partnered with a brilliant school based in Northamptonshire who are looking to add to their September team.
Starting date: 4th September 2024
Pay: £150 to £220 per day
Role: Part time role, 3 days a week however can offer general cover on the other 2 days if needed.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our successful English department. The English department achieved great results last year and we are keen to build on this via quality teaching and learning in every classroom for every student in every year group. We are looking for someone who is committed, innovative and solutions focused. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved with extra-curricular activities as well as numerous CPD opportunities both within the department and externally. A passion for English is a must as well as a keen desire to continuously develop subject knowledge and pedagogy. You will be well supported by a friendly and knowledgeable team and a fully resourced department.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality English lessons that cater to the diverse needs of secondary school students
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active learning and critical thinking
• Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential through engaging and creative teaching methods
• Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback and support to help students achieve their goals
• Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, fostering open communication and collaboration
• Participate in the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities, events, and initiatives
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the school's English department
Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards QTS
• Experience teaching English at the secondary level
• Strong understanding of the English curriculum and effective teaching strategies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive and collaborative approach to working as part of a team
• A commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
