Job description

Are you passionate about inspiring young minds through the power of literature and language? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join one of our vibrant secondary school in the Newton Abbot area, starting in January 2024.

Your Role:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Foster a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking.
  • Monitor and support student progress, tailoring lessons to meet individual needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.

About You:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching English at secondary level.
  • Strong classroom management skills and a passion for education.
  • Ability to start in January 2024 and commit to a full-time role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
