English Teacher – Luton


A ‘Good’ mixed Secondary in Luton is looking to appoint a full-time English Teacher to join its ambitious and engaging team. The English Department at the school is a desired workplace with a very supportive and successful team. The school is a vibrant place of learning that aims to provide an outstanding, positive learning environment. As well as aiming for academic success, the school reinforces the importance of extra curricular activities such as music, sport, and drama.


The Role
As an English Teacher with this highly desirable school, you will be tasked with planning, delivering, and marking engaging and thought-provoking lessons which will guide pupils towards their GCSE and A-Level qualifications. There may be other responsibilities such as and a form/registration group. Staff at the school are also happy to help with general cover from time to time if needed.


The Contract
The initial contract is a cover position until the End of Academic Year however there could be the potential for this to extend into the new school year. This will be for a full-time English teacher role as follows:
- Full time position
- January 2025 or ASAP start
- Initial contract until End of Academic Year
- Potential for extension of contract but not guaranteed
- Pay negotiable dependant on experience, MPS/UPS level, and qualifications

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
