English Teacher

Teaching Personnel are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school in Caerphilly. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a thriving educational community, where students are encouraged to reach their full potential academically, creatively, and personally.

  • Location: Caerphilly, South Wales
  • Pay: £157.66 - £217.77 per day (paid scale
  • Start date: asap
  • Contract: Full-time (Term time only)

About the Role:

As an English Teacher, you will:

  • Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of Key Stage 5 for the right candidate.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and inspiring lessons that promote a love of literature and language.
  • Support students in developing critical thinking, reading, writing, and communication skills.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support to help everyone achieve their goals.
  • Contribute to the wider school community, including involvement in extracurricular activities and literacy initiatives.

About You:

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Is passionate about the English language and literature and can inspire that enthusiasm in students.
  • Has a strong understanding of the national curriculum and the ability to deliver high-quality lessons.
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is a New Qualified Teacher (NQT) with relevant English Degree
  • Is a positive and collaborative team member with excellent communication skills.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
