- Secondary SEMH Provision
- Burnley
- Pay: £140 - £160 p/day
- Full-time: 8:30 – 3:30 (Monday – Friday)
- Long-term (Until the end of the academic year)
The provision
SEMH specialist day school for pupils aged 11 to 18, catering for children with a wide range of needs. Their dedicated team, work together to ensure successful outcomes for pupils who often arrive at the school with a troubled view of education and life.
What is involved?
*Managing your students' behaviour and learning during lessons and throughout the school day
*Reduced class sizes and will need to coordinate with your class pupil support workers to ensure that each individual pupil is always supported
*Responsibility for delivering English across KS3 and KS4
*Mixed ability classes: the effective differentiation of your planning and delivery is essential
*Encouraging the development of social skills and supporting students' individual needs
*Helping to build confidence and motivation
*Participating in team meetings and training programmes as an active member of a team
English Teacher - What is required?
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is highly desirable but not essential
*An undergraduate degree in a relevant subject
*Knowledge and/or a keen interest and understanding of the range of different types of learning and behavioural needs that are associated with SEMH students
*Good interpersonal and communication skill and a caring attitude

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
