Job description

We are seeking a competent and motivated English Teacher to work at our Burnley school. The school wants to improve and advance students' knowledge of the core English Literature and Language curriculum.

Our school is seeking a Teacher that not only excels in the classroom but also has the ability to teach engaging practical lessons outside of it and is genuinely motivated to improve the educational opportunities for the students. The ideal candidate will be driven, resourceful, and committed to achieving the highest standards for student accomplishment, personal growth, and well-being.

Job role: English Teacher

Location: Burnley, Lancashire

Start date: 6th January 2025

Contract: Temp-perm

The successful candidate will:

  • Be an outstanding classroom practitioner
  • Have confident ability in classroom and behaviour management
  • Have strong subject knowledge in English Literature and Language
  • Hold QTS
  • Hold an enhanced DBS, on the update service, or apply for one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
