Contract Type: Temporary (September to December 2024)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons that inspire and challenge students.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and effective approach to teaching.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of the English curriculum.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching English at secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and language.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
